The sacristy of Granada Cathedral is accessed through a Renaissance doorway designed by Diego de Siloé and engraved with the effigies of Saint Peter and Saint Paul. In the central oval there is a representation of the Virgin Mother with the Child Jesus on her lap.

The sacristy is the place where the sacred vessels used during the Eucharistic celebrations are kept. Likewise, it also houses the necessary vestments used by the ministers of worship. Therefore, the presence of furniture, chests of drawers and mirrors are essential elements.
The table in the centre of the room is called the calyx, because the chalice that is to be used for the celebration is placed on it.
The upper part of the room is decorated with a collection of canvases of the apostles from the Neapolitan school. On the left, near the door, centred in a marvellous gilded baroque frame, is the Virgin of Succour, with delicate facial features, which the scholars relate directly to the painting of Leonardo Da Vinci.
This space houses important pictorial works influenced by Cano's mastery. These include the mystical nuptials of Saint Catherine by José Risueño and the apparition of the Virgin to Saint Julian by Pedro de Moya.
In the vestibule that precedes the sacristy of Granada Cathedral, there is a large collection of paintings on its walls.
At the entrance door, before entering the interior, we can see a magnificent canvas by Leandro Bassano which illustrates the announcement of the birth of Jesus to the shepherds.
Later, above the door is the expressive painting of the mission of Saint John of God in which the Child Jesus reveals that Granada would be his cross. Similarly, the apparition of the Virgin to Saint Bernard, the work of Pedro de Cieza, is also of great artistic importance, as is the Holy Family by Juan de Sevilla, Cano's great disciple.
Scattered around the sacristy are some striking Flemish copper paintings illustrating various moments in the public life of Jesus.
In the background can be seen the carving of the crucified Christ that presides over the sacristy, a baroque work by the García brothers. This is considered one of the best sculptures of Christ dead on the cross, with outstanding carving and polychromy.
Below, the work that identifies the Cathedral of Granada, the Inmaculada Concepción de María (Immaculate Conception of Mary) by Alonso Cano, is kept. In front of it, the canons solemnly begin and end the Marian antiphons corresponding to each liturgical season.
